Colorado Trip

We took an 8 day trip back home.  It was a busy, wonderful and beautiful week!  We were able to see most of our friends and family.  We stayed with my Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Perry for the first part of our trip - it's weird to be back in the town you are from and not really know where "home base" is.  They gave us that place with open arms - I am truly thankful for them!  I was able to have play dates with some of my favorite mamas, Katie, Abby, Jeri and Rachel. It was amazing to see how much their kiddos had grown in a short year, and thank you Jeri for the time with your horses - it was surely a highlight!  I also got to spend time with my favorite Shelbie and Steph - thanks for making time for me and for being such amazing friends! We also got to spend some wonderful/ quality time with Uncle Preston, Grandpa, Grandpa Scott and Aunt Christi, Uncle John and cousins.  Gavin and Sage had a blast playing with their cousins, we sure do miss them!  We were also able to attend a wedding for my cousin Austen and his new bride Megan; it was an absolutely beautiful wedding.  We had a blast being with all of my Carpenter family!  We spent the last part of our trip in Colorado Springs with Nana and Papa; it was the most relaxing part of the trip.  We did not have to deal with the Denver traffic and spent time doing fun things like the Cog Railway up to Pikes Peak (14,110 ft), the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and played with cousins.  We deeply miss all of our amazing friends and family in Colorado, but we were given reassurance that Helena is where we are supposed to be right now.
