Gavin finished up his first year of
preschool. He loved it and I loved seeing how much he learned in just
a few short months. He has an affinity for numbers and finally learned all his colors. At the end of the year
his class went on a field trip to the Farm in the Dell - Sage and I joined his
class. It was so cute to see him interact with his classmates and
teacher. He is looking forward to preschool starting up again in September.
My little guy is growing up too quickly.
Over Memorial week/ weekend we got to have Tim, Nicole and kiddos here for a few days. We had a great time. We went for a beautiful hike at Refrigerator Canyon, the boys fished, the kiddos played and we had a babysitter one night so we could go out and actually have adult conversation. It was fun, thanks for making the trip.
Brian's parents came out the beginning of June. They worked us into their summer of travel which they probably regret as they worked most of their time here - watching the kids, working in the yard, planting our garden. Thanks T - the garden is popping off:) They took the kids overnight and Brian and I spent a night away alone, did I say alone (heeeeeyyy), at Sacajawea Inn in Three Forks for Brian's birthday. We were greeted with champagne, enjoyed a delicious dinner and a walk in the rain. It was lovely. The next morning we woke up to breakfast in bed and then rode bikes around town (we started with a tandem bike and quickly changed back to our own). I was not digging the tandem! Then we golfed, well Brian did and I attempted but we had a blast.
In the middle of June, I got to have Shelbie here for 3 days.
It was such an amazing visit and so refreshing to be with a longtime
friend! We enjoyed much needed mom time - eating out, lazy movie nights,
firepit, pedis, hiking, hotsprings, farmers market, a little shopping and wonderful
conversation. Thanks for being such an amazing, genuine, loving friend.
So glad you are a part of my life. Let's make this an annual thing!
We finally threw a backyard BBQ/ birthday
party for Sage. It was a blast - excellent weather, good food, great
company and a really cute 2 year old!! We also celebrated Brian for
Fathers Day that weekend - ice cream at church and the boys did a little
golfing! So thankful for the amazing dad Bri is to our kiddos - I couldn't ask
for more.
For the Fourth of July we hit Vegas baby! What happens in Vegas stays in
Vegas - so there is nothing to say! Just kidding. We spent a few
days in Las Vegas with Nana and Papa. We had a great time. We spent
time walking the strip, swimming, doing a little gambling, visiting the mob museum (Brian's idea-if you can imagine),
and just enjoying each other. Staying cool was not easy as it was 110 degrees. Thanks so much for a great trip Nana and Papa -
you are so generous and so fun to travel with. We love you!!
We've had such a fun summer so far as I
have mentioned above. We are hoping to enjoy more Montana summer days and
hopefully get in a few camp trips before summer is over - which is approaching
way to quickly. A new project this summer has been our backyard garden. Lots of things growing, but so far not much harvesting. Looking forward to sharing some pics of a major harvest next time. Gavin loves watching the garden grow.
