The first weekend of June we went to Fairmont Hot Springs, which is about an hour south of Helena. Dad gave us a weekend stay there for our anniversary - and we finally got to use it. We had such a great time. It was so fun to get away. They have a huge water slide, Gavin absolutely loved it - he couldn't get enough of it. We had to taking turns walking with him up the massive set of stairs because every time we plunged into the water he yelled "AGAIN". We played some miniature golf (Gav actually got a hole in one), visited the petting zoo (Brian related to the goat with their matching goatees), swam, played at the park and went for a nice hike.

Last Saturday we all did the Governors Cup - 5K. Preston was here for the weekend and joined us. He is still recovering from ACL surgery and I still struggled to keep up with him. Brian and Preston were so nice to run at my pace - my goal was 30 minutes and we did it:) The weather was a little questionable but the rain held off until we were finished. We had a great time, the kids enjoyed it too. Gav was "wahoo"ing everyone and Sage fell asleep right at the end.

As I mentioned, Preston came out last weekend. I absolutely loved having him here. I think he was a little overwhelmed by the business of my kiddos...but we had a great time. We went to a pre-race "shindig" downtown where Gav found a "friend" to dance with - it was soooo cute! Preston took Gav on the carousel - one of his favorite things to do in town. We had Sages birthday party, did "The Gates of the Rockies" boat tour on the Missouri river - it was absolutely beautiful, grilled out and had a nice fire! Thanks so much for coming to visit Preston. We love you so much!

For Sages 1st Birthday we had some friends over to help celebrate. We BBQ'd, had cupcakes and played kickball in the backyard - it was a blast! I cannot believe my baby is 1. Sage is all smiles, but man is she busy - she is one hard kiddo to keep up with. She crawls fast, is loud and demanding. She loves to eat - she out eats her brother for every meal - and is somehow still in the 20th percentile for weight. She better appreciate that metabolism now:) She loves her blanket, her thumb, cheerios, remotes, cellphones, Ritz Crackers, playing in any cabinet, taking off her socks, Izzy, anything her brother is playing with and her mama!! She most definitely completes our family!
The many faces of Sage over the last year!! Love this girl!!!!
It has been such a busy year. In the last year we sold our house in Colorado, moved into a "lovely" town home, had Sage, I got laid off (which was perfect), bought a house in Helena, moved to Helena and now have been here for 7 months. God has certainly blessed us - He has given Brian his dream job and given me the amazing yet challenging opportunity to stay home with my babes. There is no doubt in my mind that this is where God wants us to be right now. Don't get me wrong it has not been a breeze; there are days of loneliness, doubt, tears, and frustration but overall Montana has been good to us!
This is the best blog ever written!!
